Music Video: Afrojack ft. Chris Brown - As Your Friend

If your a Chris Brown fan then you might be a little disappointed in the video of he and DJ/producer Afrojack's hot collaboration, 'As Your Friend'. The video completely lacks any appearance of Chris but it makes up for it with tons of other strange and exciting scenes such as 3D geometric shapes, thrones,  goldfish, bald eagles, armor clad girls, chainsaw wielding men, and sexy dancers. Check it out below.

New Music: Beyonce ft. Bun B, Z-Ro, Scarface, Willie D, Slim Thug & Lil Keke - I Been On (Remix)

So Beyonce has finally dropped her grimy and trill H-Town remix to her recently released buzz track 'I Been On' produced by Hit-Boy. The track is pretty good and she even got a feature from the legendary Scarface who if I'm correct is pretty much on the verge of retiring from the rap game.

I wouldn't call this remix a Beyonce track considering King B's unaltered vocals aren't even heard on the track until the end and what we can assume is her voice for the chorus.

In conclusion I'd have to say the song ain't to shabby and now I'm just waiting to hear the full version of the addictive and so controversial 'Bow Down'.

Music Video: Eve ft. Gabe Saporta - Make It Out This Town

I'm no fan of Eve's new empowerment track 'Make It Out This Town' featuring the lead singer from Cobra Starship, Gabe Saporta.

I appreciate a rap song with a great message but I'm just not feeling the song its self but bravo to Eve for keeping it positive. You can find this track on her very delayed comeback album, Lip Lock due May 14th.

New Music: Rihanna - Pour It Up (Chew Fu Remix)

(Pic Source: Stuffpoint.com)

Producer Chew Fu has worked closely with Rihanna in the past and in fact he remixed an entire Rated R remix album for her, which he killed. Now Chew Fu has  tapped into his creative juices with Rihanna as his muse once again as he remixes Rihanna's thug anthem 'Pour It Up' from her seventh album, Unapologetic.

I'm not completely convinced that the vocalist is actually Rihanna on this Chew remix because the singer sounds nothing like her but I'm guesssing with enough pitch work and studio altering magic this could be RiRi but I'm still kind of skeptical.  Anyway check out the remix below.

New Music: Download Travis Garland's "Fashionably Late Volume II" EP

I know I'm really late but being late is so appropriate when the EP I'm posting is about called, Fashionably Late. The amazing and talented Travis Garland has fixed his fans with the second dose of smooth R&B tracks on his sequel of his previous EP, Fashionably Late.

The 5 track EP is sexy and current, which seems to be a hard issue for many R&B artist to do without becoming to pop. So I commend Travis on making such great music.

P.S. I cannot get enough of 'Blue Electric Roses'  and 'Neighbor'.

New Music: Kreesha Turner - Gimme Dat (Prod. By Young Yonny)

Canadian Bad Gyal, Kreesha Turner has dropped a fresh and hot new track called, 'Gimme Dat', which will appear on her third upcoming album entitled, Evolution Inevitable.

After hearing the Young Yonny produced 'Gimme Dat' I was like "Gimme Gimme More Of Dat!". Kreesha's Jamaican heritage is on full display as she sings in the tropical islands dialect, Patois. The song is pure fiyah and I can't wait to hear more from her.

New Music: Eva Simons - Chemistry

One of my faves, Eva Simons has finally released some new material for 2013. The song is called 'Chemistry' and it first appeared in an Dutch Pepsi advertisement. Fans who live in the Netherlands can catch Eva as an opening act for Beyonce when she stops by there for her new tour, the Mrs. Carter Show.

'Chemistry' sticks to the genre the EDM, which is what Eva known for. I'm guessing 'Chemistry' will appear on her debut album but it very well could be on some DJ/producers compilation album like her previous efforts.

Christina Aguilera has been sitting on her laurels with the promo of her so-called comeback album, Lotus (November 9 2012). I wasn't a huge fan of the album but it did have some gems such as 'Your Body', 'Let There Be Love', 'Circles', and 'Make The World Move'.

Anyway I heard (not confirmed) that her extremely delayed second single will be her fantastic track 'Let There Be Love',which you can check out below. If this is true we might be lucky enough to get a music video to accompany the song.

Music Video: Omarion - Paradise

Maybach Music artist, Omarion has finally released a new single and music video since being signed to Rick Ross' label. The new single entitled 'Paradise' is about sex and the song is kind of dark and features some chopped and screwed elements.

The song is all right but the video is terribly boring and pretty much just features a shirtless Omarion standing in the dark before a random girl comes along near the end and proceeds to make out with him. anyway check it out below

'Paradise' is the first single from Omarion's fourth and upcoming album Love & Other Drugs.

My Night Out With Rihanna: A Write Up Of Her March 18th 2013 Toronto Diamonds World Tour

Yesterday I spent the day with some friends accomplishing a goal of mine, which was to see at least one concert in my life time. If you read my blog then you'll know I have quite the soft spot for Bajan singer, Rihanna so you should've known she'd be the first concert I'd attend. You might also find some of my opinions biased since I'm very fond of her music. Anyway I'll pretty much tell you guys how the night went.

On March the 18th (Monday) me and a few friends attended Rihanna's Diamonds World Tour with opening act A$AP Rocky at the ACC. The gates opened at approximately 6:30 PM with opening act A$AP Rocky scheduled to perform at 7:45 PM.

So we get to the ACC and before being admitted into the building our bags are checked to make sure we didn't bring in any outside food or drugs (we saw a guy get kicked out for attempting to light up some weed). After we get past the guards we zip through the lobby area with all the concession stands to our seats which, were numbered on our tickets. Our lovely little group was placed on a balcony in the 300 range of seating and we weren't close to the stage like some other fortunate guest who won tickets from radio stations or could afford to pay a pretty penny for those kick ass seats. Lucky for me I've got 20/20 vision.

The lights go down around 8:00 PM and  the crowd cheers and out comes A$AP Rocky who I admit is not my ideal opening act but dammit! we paid already and we were going to watch a full show for our money's worth. He performed crowd pleasers (that I recognized and many others I didn't know) such as 'Goldie', 'Long Live A$AP', 'Fashion Killa', and finally finishing his segment with club banger, 'F*cken' Problem' . I personally thought he did a good job even though his music isn't my cup of tea.

So Rihanna was suppose to come on at 9:00 PM but the show was delayed so during the intermission the DJ played popular tracks like Kelly Rowland's 'Lay It On Me', David Guetta's 'Titanium', Will.i.am's 'Scream & Shout', Nicki Minaj's 'Hell Yeah', Drake's 'Started From The Bottom', and crowd favourite, Baauer's 'Harlem Shake' right before the lights dimmed at approximately 10:00 PM. With the room now dark and the spotlight on the stage the black drapes were lifted and there stood Rihanna in a black billowing robe as she sang 'Mother Mary' followed by 'Phresh Off The Runway'. throughout the show, Rihanna changed her outifit to match certain segments of her performance. For example her second act, which saw the Bajan belle in thigh high white boots performing her Caribbean themed tracks such as 'You Da One', 'Man Down', 'No Love Allowed', and 'What's My Name'.

She pretty much performed every song from her Unapologetic album with the exception of 'Lost In Paradise', 'Nobody's Business', 'Right Now' and 'Love Without Tragedy'. She did play a little bit of her mellow stoner track 'Get It Over With' while she changed her outfit for the next act. During her performance of "S&M" she interacted with the audience by hugging random people and taking pictures with them. She also really got the crowd to join in with her 'What Now' performance but my fave performances of the night had to be 'Cockiness', 'Cake', 'Jump', and 'Loveeeeeee Song'.

At approximately 11:50 something she finished the show off by performing the tours name sake, 'Diamonds'. All in all I was completely satisfied even though she hit the stage an hour late. I really enjoyed her performances and I thought she sang excellently. I would definitely go and see her again the next time she came to Toronto.

So If I can get my friend to send some pics from our excursion I'll post them but for now I'll post other fans videos of her performances via YouTube. The performance I'm gonna post are from her Buffalo show and her Philly show.

P.S. I really wish I met Rihanna! That would have been amazing!!!

New Music: Beyonce - Bow Down & I Been On

The power of Beyonce is quite real! She has sold out tours without even releasing new material. That means people were brave/idiotic enough to purchase expensive tickets before they even knew what material she'd be performing.

Well today the self proclaimed, King B has finally given her misguided and aggressive hive of mostly tyrannical homosexuals and sycophantic females new material and God knows they need this ish like electrolytes to survive.

Anyway the new material is released in the form of an interlude/prelude/snippet from her yet to be titled upcoming album. Both tracks titled, 'Bow Down' and 'I Been On' see Beyonce taking on a trap, trill, rachet, or whatever the hell you wanna call this genre of urban pop/R&B music that was made popular by both Ciara and more recently Rihanna (whence 'Pour It Up').

I prefer the boastful 'Bow Down', which see's Lilly white Obama pet, Beyonce using profanity and referring to fellow females she claims to empower constantly as "bitches". Take that Feminism! The second song 'I Been On' has a sick Hit-Boy produced beat but that's about it since all of Beyonce's vocals have been altered or chopped and screwed beyond recognition and the content its self is rubbish.

Anyway both tracks aren't to shabby and yes I'm kind of excited to see what Beyonce has to offer since I really didn't like previous era,4.

Music Video: Anjulie - Allison

Canadian singer, Anjulie has been dropping new music and videos for awhile now but to my knowledge (which really isn't much) she still has no release date or title for her sophomore album.

Anyway yesterday a video for a song titled 'Allison' surfaced and yeah the song is... different and the video is pretty unique as well. The video features Anjulie in a red wig accompanied by a blue wigged friend and from the looks of it, they've committed murder most foul!

BONUS: Did y'all know that Anjulie co-wrote the Cassie parts (the better parts) of Nicki Minaj's addictive track, 'The Boys' from Nicki's, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (The Re-Up). Check out Anjulie's acoustic rendition below.

Music Video: Tiffany Foxx ft. Lil Kim - Twisted

So I've seen interviews with Lil Kim's protege Tiffany Foxx and she seems like a nice person but (imma bout to sound like a hater) I don't think she's a worthy investment for Lil' Kim. Most of Tiffany's music including this song 'Twisted' is mediocre to me and yes image shouldn't matter but it does and Tiffany lacks just that.

I also don't see Tiffany ever getting pass the mixtape phase in her career and I'll be surprised if she ever get a full length studio album before she vanishes into obscurity. I don't believe she has any real stand out qualities about her and we all know if you want to be successful as a female rapper now days you've got to strive a lot harder to be interesting and different or you'll be overlooked.

Now I'm about to hate on Miley Cyrus! I'm so tired of these stupid Disney teeny-bopper kids attempting to rebel against their Disney images by hanging out with the "Big Bad" black artist. If I recall Miley Cyrus admitted that she never even heard a Jay-Z song before in her life and that she doesn't listen to that type of music. Now lets fast-foward to 2013 and now we see her all booed up with black/urban artist all the time in some sad attempt to reinvent her image.I'm not falling for it Hanna Montana!

Not only is the Colin Tilley directed video enjoyable and hella cute but the Mike WiLL Made It produced song pure heat as well. Check it out below!

'Kisses Down Low' is the second single (first single being 'Ice') off of her upcoming album called, Talk A Good Game, formely entitled, Year Of The Woman.
