Music Video: Victoria Duffield - Break My Heart

Music Video: Lana Del Rey - National Anthem

Lana Del Rey is pretty awesome and so is her dark and artsy video for single, 'National Anthem', where she and rapper, A$AP Rocky play John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline "Jackie" Onassis. The video plays out just like the tragic true story so we all know what happens at the end of this video.

Eventhough its a video I felt a lil' sumthin' when the end came along, which I guess means I'm not totally dead inside like I thought. The video in general touches on many issues and can be broken down and analyzed but I'm not going to get into all that.

You can just watch the progressive yet vintage mini-movie-video below and trust me its well worth the 7 minutues and 40 seconds.

New Music: Tweet - 'Face To Face' (Fourth Release) , 'Daydreaming', and 'Trouble' (First & Second #TWEETTUESDAY Releases)

Its #TweetTuesday's and we can expect another hot song right on schedule but since its actually pass 12:00 AM where I am its technically Wednesday but that's okay.

Her latest offering and fourth installment to her #TweetTuesday series is called, 'Face To Face', which is a very soulful track. Don't worry I gotcha covered if you've missed out on the first 2 installments of her series, which you can check out below and if you want to hear her third installment then you can HERE.

New Music: Neon Hitch - Talk Talk

Firecracker, Neon Hitch, has resurfaced with a new song called, 'Talk Talk', which is an ode to douche guys trying to pick you up with all their trash talk. It pretty much has the same message as P!nk's 'U And Ur Hand' and Ke$ha's 'Blah Blah Blah', which Neon Hitch helped co-right. Listen below.

Anyway I'm not sure if its her next single after the release of her sassy, 'F*Ck U Betta', but I really don't care! As long as she's making music I'm pretty happy. I'm curious to hear her forthcoming album, 'Beg, Borrow, and Steal', which is scheduled for a fall 2012 release.

Music Video: Kristina Maria ft. JC Chasez - Animal

Canadian singer, Kristina Maria, gets hot, sweaty, and all types of bothered in her new, 'I'm A Slave 4 U' inspired video, 'Animal', which features former N Sync member, JC Chasez (he doesn't appear in the video). The video is very reminiscent to Britney Spears, 'I'm A Slave 4 U', due to all the sweating dancers, the orgy like scenes, and to top it off there's even a scene with one of the dancers licking Kristina just like in Britney's video.

'Animal' is the fourth single to hit air waves from, Kristina's debut album, 'Tell The World' (April 10th 2012).

Old But Gold: Jay-Z ft. Puff Daddy & Lil ' Kim - I Know What Girls Like

One of my friends on YouTube pointed out that I haven't done an "Old But Gold" post in awhile so I decided to do one and they suggested I do Jay-Z's 1997 song, 'I Know What Girls Like', which is a favorite we can both agree on. The favored song samples The Waitresses 1980 hit, 'I Know What Boys Like' and I think almost every one likes that song.

'I Know What Girls Like' featured Diddy (formerly Puff Daddy) and Lil' Kimand the hot track appeared on Jay's 1997 sophomore album,  'In My Lifetime Vol 1'.

So being that I was and still am drawn to the charismatic, Kimmy Blanco, I  borrowed one of my sister's mixtapes just so I could get this song so I could learn, Lil' Kim's verse. All my friends use to try and remember all the Lil' Kim songs even though they definitely weren't age appropriate.

Anyway check out  Jay-Z's 'I Know What Girls Like" featuring the Iconic Lil ' Kim below.

Music Rant: Madonna vs. Janet Jackson - The Nipple Flashing

(Pic Source)

I know I'm late to this but If you haven't realized Madonna and Janet Jackson have been feuding for quite some time and the flames were recently re-ignited again during an interview Madonna did as promo for her Superbowl  XLVI Half Time Show.

Madonna blatantly stated "You don’t have to show nipples to be interesting. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re cutting edge if you do, right?" when she was asked by Neil Rosen of NY1,  if she was "
planning a naughty surprise or something?" for the half time show after he referenced the whole Janet Jackson nipple gate Superbowl performance. (See more of the  interview HERE)

Now lets  fast forward to a few weeks ago! Madonna was seen exposing her nipple to the audience during her 'Human Nature' performance in  Istanbul, Turkey and then she was seen turning her back to the audience to show off  a faux tattoo that stated "NO FEAR"

This of course sent the media into a tizzy and many a blog labeled her as thirsty, hypocritical, and desperate to pick up the sales for her fast declining 'MDNA' sales.

Obviously Madonna flashed her nip to attract attention to her, 'MDNA' tour but what all the other blogs seemed to have missed is there was a message behind the nipple flash. It wasn't just for publicity I believe it was an another shady attack on Janet. Allow me to explain.

Madonna recently made fun of the whole Janet Jackson Superbowl incident and then she does the exact same thing but what every one is missing is the meaning of the 'NO FEAR"  tattoo. Madonna revealed her nipple to the world with no fear and with no apology while Janet did the exact same thing but chickened out and claimed a wardrobe malfunction to escape the media backlash.

We all know that Janet and Justin Timberlake's nipple flashing performance was intentional. It was an attempt on Janet's behalf to be controversial but since Janet could never be as edgy/controversial as Madonna  she came up with excuses and backed down to the media while Madonna would never have backed down and instead would have challenged the media with her typical I.D.G.A.F. attitude. Listen to the words of her song "Human Nature" where she states "I'm Not Sorry", which proves she won't apologize.

So to conclude this lil' rant of mine I'd like to say that showing your nipple is not condoned by me at all but I can understand why Madonna did it or at least why I believe she did it. So showing your nipple doesn't necessarily make you cutting edge in Janet's case but when it comes to an unapologetic boss b*tch like, Madonna it does. So all the other blogs you may continue to rant about Madonna because she has taken jabs (unwarranted and yes very b*tchy jabs) at your faves and her Pop peer (or as some would put it her underlings or loyal subjects) but she will always be the Queen of POP, Fearlessness, and Controversy and that is a title that no one in the last decade could ever usurp.

New Music: Shawn Desman - Nobody Does It Like You

Shawn Desman's has a new song out called, 'Nobody Does It Like You', which will appear on his forthcoming yet to be titled fourth album.

I would've post this song much faster but it literally took it months before it actually appeared on YouTube anyway check the song out below.

Doesn't this song kind of remind you of a male version of Rihanna's "You Da One'?

New Music: M.I.A. - Bad Girls Remixes ft. Azealia Banks, Missy Elliot, and Rye Rye

One of the music industries leading bad girls, M.I.A, has done the impossible by collaborating with multiple femcee's all on one track. The last time this was seen was in 2009 with the release of Ludacris', 'My Chick Bad' remix, which featured, Trina, Diamond, and Eve.

Recently signed  Roc Nation artist, M.I.A. must have decided that her boss track, 'Bad Girls' needed to be represented by some other bad girls so she has decided to invite Missy Elliot, Rye Rye, and Azealia Banks for the remixes.

You can check out the Switch Remix of 'Bad Girls', which features Missy Elliot and Rye Rye  and below that is the Danja produced, N.A.R.S Remix (the better of the 2), which features Missy Elliot and Azealia Banks instead.

Both remixes will be on M.I.A.’s EP, 'Bad Girls – The Remixes', which will be up on iTunes July 3rd.

New Music: Tweet - C 4EVA (Third #TWEETTUESDAY Release)

Before the word, "Tweet" was associated with that dreadful social site, Twitter, it belonged to a soulful singer who went by the same name. Most people will probably recognize her because of her debut single 'Oops (Oh My)' and for being associated with Missy Elliot, which garnered quite the following.

She  has been on a hiatus for quite sometime but every now and then she re-appears with a new and absolutely beautiful song. Such is the case with her latest offering, 'C 4EVA', which has a very laid back acoustic sound that's laced with, Tweet's heavenly vocals.

If you are a fan of her like I am then you'll be glad to hear that she's decided to release a track on Tuesday as part what I'm assuming is a series called, #TweetTuesdays. You can listen and download the chill inducing, 'C 4EVA'  via Soundcloud below.

New Music: Shannon Bex (Formerly Of Danity Kane) - I'm Out

Did anyone else know that, Shannon Bex, started singing again?Or Am I the only one who was left out of the loop?

Anyway If your elated to hear this because you were a huge Danity Kane fan then pump your brakes because this is nothing like Danity Kane's discography.

Shannon's new song, 'I'm Out', is more like a Carrie Underwood or Kelly Pickler tune . So that means twangy Rock-Country music and not the Urban Pop that we usually would associate her with.

Here's hoping D.Woods and Aundrea drop some new material soon as well.

Interesting Find: Angel - Wonderful

I'm not sure who singer, Angel, is but after being introduced to him by a friend I was like this guy is major! He seems to have a British accent so I'm going to guess that he's from the Britain but I could be wrong because I literally know nothing about this guy.

What I do know is that I'm totally head over heels for his beautiful song, 'Wonderful', which taps into the Rock and the Electronic Pop genre to make this amazing fusion of both musical cultures. I'm telling you I love music like this it just gives me this unexplainable feeling.

I like the beat of the song and I kind of like some of the parts of the song as well but a lot of it I can't get into because her flow is just so rapid. Anyway giddy up and check out the western inspired video below.

Music Video: Ne-Yo - Lazy Love

Congratulations, Ne-Yo! You've joined the ranks with all the rest!

When you can't sell like you want to then follow the formula that every male R&B singer does. Walk around topless and sing about and make explicit entertainment because every one knows sex sells. Just ask Trey Songz and Chris Brown how well that formula has worked for them.

Its funny because every one tears female singer a new one for selling sex (for example Teairra Mari, Kelly Rowland, and Keri Hilson) but the male singers get away with some of the raunchiest stuff.

As is the case with Ne-Yo's latest visual offering, 'Lazy Love' off of his forthcoming album, 'R.E.D'. I won't hate the song is pure fire but I'm not sure it will do as well as he'd like it to.

So lets see how rewarding, Ne-Yo's new album, 'R.E.D' (September 18th) will do after his sexy new image revamp. We all know the old saying of "sex sells" but I have a feeling that 'R.E.D' won't!

EVERY ONE LOOK ITS KATE UPTON!

New Music: Ciara ft. 2 Chainz - Sweat

Ciara debuts her first single, 'Sweat' off of her upcoming, Epic record debut, 'One Woman Army'. 'Sweat' is a very safe, Ciara track since it's very similar to her previous records so you won't hear her fair weather fans claiming that they won't support her because its to "Pop" for them so they'll need to come up with another excuse for the impending flop that will occur.

Don't get me wrong, 'Sweat' is hot and it will do well with the urban listeners but I don't think it has cross over appeal, which means the song will go largely unnoticed by the majority of the media who label her as Kim K's friend  instead of a talented and successful musician. When, CiCi attempted to cross over and become "Pop" with her album, 'Fantasy Ride', she was ridiculed and abandoned by her fans and ignored by the new audience she was trying to impress and gain. So its best she sticks to her previous formulas of success, which is fast paced booming R&B dance tracks.

"Sweat' will definitely have people dancing and urban radio stations will be all over it especially since rapper of the moment, 2 Chainz features on the track. So it may be a radio hit with certain media outlets, which means we shouldn't expect to see her performing this track at any major award shows outside of the BET awards.

I just heard the official acoustic version of Coldplay & Rihanna's, 'Princess Of China', today and I think I actually like it better then the original produced version, which is strange since I'm not usually an acoustic fan. something about the Acoustic version makes the track so much more emotional to me and I can't explain the feeling but you just feel it when you listen to the track. Anyway check out the hot track below.

New Music: Kat Graham - Heartkiller

Kat Graham continues to kill the music game with another catchy single called, 'Heartkiller', which if I'm correct is off of her EP, 'Against The Wall' (May 29th 2012).

Kat Graham also performed her catchy single, 'Put Your Graffiti On Me' live for the first time last week on Ellen's show.

I enjoyed the performance and I believe people  are to critical when it comes to live performances and I believe people are way to harsh on new comers as well. At least she sang live, which seems to be a far stretch for certain other big acts such as Britney Spears and Chris Brown.

Music Video: Robin Thicke - Exhale (Shoop Shoop)

This is a beautiful, Whitney Houston tribute! Robin Thicke's voice is just perfect on this track.

New Music: Cheryl Cole - Telescope

I know Cheryl's song, 'Telescope', is probably old to any British readers but I just heard it recently and I've fallen completely in love with the emotional ballad. I don't tend to fancy many ballads because I prefer music that makes me get up and move but I make exceptions for a few ballads that really tug at my heart strings.

Apparently 'Telescope' will not appear on her upcoming album, 'A Million Lights', which is scheduled for a June 18th release but its scheduled to appear on an upcoming EP called, 'Call My Name'.

I know she is managed by Will.I.Am but she still hasn't crossed over from the U.K. into the North American market for some odd reason. Other then that I'm not to familiar with, Cheryl or her former group, Girls Aloud and based on what I hear from other British blogs it seems that she's a serial lip-syncer and I can not stand singers that refuse to sing live.

Music Video: Coldplay ft. Rihanna - Princess Of China

Coldplay and Rihanna have finally unveiled the video for their hot song, 'Princess Of China' today and trust me it was well worth the wait. The video is so visually captivating and just so beautiful that you have to watch it over and over again.

If you like 'Hidden Tiger, Crouching Dragon' or any other Kung-Fu movie then you'll thoroughly enjoy this video. My favourite part has to be the stunning ending parts where Rihanna is wearing a kimono like dress with the very large red sleeves surrounded by those guys with the drums.
