New Music: Adele - Rumour Has It

I've safely avoided the mass obsession surrounding singer, Adele so far and I was hoping to continue to dislike and avoid her music until now. I finally discovered a song from her that I actually enjoy and won't cause me to snarl in rage and change my radio station to another station that's probably playing one of her other coma inducing songs. Anyway I'm liking her new song "Rumour Has It" and its probably because its upbeat and not some dreary slow ballad.

Check it out below!

New Music: Timbaland ft. Keri Hilson, Sebastian, & Attitude - Covers Blown

Its been a minute since we've heard any new material from the beautiful, Ms. Keri Hilson and yesterday that dry spell ended when a track called, "Covers Blown" leaked in full.

The song is, Timbaland's, and, Keri is just one of the features (other features include Attitude & Sebastien) on the hot track that I guessing will appear on Timbaland's upcoming album, Shock Value III (June 2012).

Artist Promo: Marie Dahlstrom - What Did You Say

One of the reasons I started a blog was so I could help spread the word about new music and to discover new musicians.

So I was more then happy to check my inbox and discover a new musician named, Marie Dahlstrom from Scandinavia.

Check out her soulful single/music video, "What Did You Say" from her EP, Feelings, below.

New Music: Chris Brown - Sweet Love

Chris Browns new song and latest single, "Sweet Love, from his upcoming album, Fortune (May 4th 2012), is everything the radio should be playing at the moment instead of all that repetitive junk.

I love the beat and the chorus of this song and I can't help but press replay over and over again.

New Music: Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - Dance Again

Jennifer Lopez lays in a puppy pile of masked boys as she sports some red bottom heels and a saucy get up all on the single cover of her upcoming new single.

"Dance Again" is the first offerings from her forthcoming yet to be titled new album and Pitbull (blech) is featured on the track like the first single, "On The Floor", from her last album, Love?.

The song is all right but it sounds extremely generic like most dance tracks that seem to all feature the ever present and annoying, Pitbull. One can only hope Lindsey Lohan wins that lawsuit so the radio can stop playing his crap ass song from last year with Ne-Yo. Gosh he released like 3 other less annoying songs but they still insist on playing, "Give Me Everything".

Sorry for the rant but the radio is really pissing me off!

New Music: Cassie - King Of Hearts (Kanye West Remix)---> Not Worth Listening To

Kanye West gives Cassie's already hot song, "King Of Hearts", a pathetic and utterly useless remix that I could have made with a basic audio mixing program and I have no training in music production what so ever. Honestly what was the point of adding a basic clapping sound effect to the beat and some unintelligible random shouting throughout the song.

This is a perfect example of "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

Music Video: DEV ft. Enrique Iglesias - Naked

Music Video: Kat Graham - Put Your Graffiti On Me

Artist Promo: Tru Fam - Denim Cashmere

Hip-Hop Duo, Tru Fam are a set of talented rapping and singing twins who've released quite the amount of material but I'm going to focus on their video, "Denim Cashmere", which you can watch below.

You can also download their EP, Bowties & Applause, HERE and you can check out some more videos from the duo below.

Artist Promo: Georgia Ellyse - Superhero

I've just been introduced to a new and talented singer/rapper named, Georgia Ellyse and I'd like to take the time to introduce her music to my readers.

Georgia is a new artist who is signed to E-Merge, Inc./Just Jen PR's team and yesterday she dropped her first single, "Superhero", which will appear on her upcoming EP, High Standards (set for a May release).

Check out the track below!

Artist Promo: Dave Raps Drops A New Track And AKA Dave Ruffin' Artwork

21 year old, Dave Raps, will be dropping his fifth mixtape, AKA Dave Ruffin' on April 9th but for now y'all can check out his official mixtape artwork and a new track called, "The High Life", which will feature on the upcoming mixtape. Check it out below and sound off about the track as well.

The-Dream puts singer, Casha (recent RadioKilla signee), back on the map with his dim and sensual video for his baby making duet, "Kill The Lights".

Music Video: Toni Braxton - I Heart You

Musical diva turned reality star, Toni Braxton, makes her return to the music scene with a hot electronic dance floor track called, "I Heart You".

According to she wrote and produced this song all by herself and I think that's amazing.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

New Music: Eva Simons - I Don't Like You

Dutch dance floor Diva, Eva Simons drops another club ready hit in the form of her latest single, "I Don't Like You" and the title of this song is the opposite of how I feel about Eva.

I honestly cannot wait to hear a full length album from her because every some she's released or featured in has been above and beyond.Anyway check out "I Don't Like You" below.

New Music: Kristina Maria - Our Song Comes On

Canadia pop sensation, Kristina Maria has dropped her third single, "Our Song Comes On", which will be on her debut album, Tell The World, which is scheduled for an April 10th 2012 release.

New Music: Azealia Banks - Fuck Up The Fun

Honestly I haven't done a single post about Azealia Banks because to be honest I just don't like her music and I probably won't be posting on her in the future either unless of course she releases a song like, "F*ck Up The Fun".

To be fair though all the positive credit really should go to Diplo for making this addictive drum heavy beat because that's about the only thing I really liked in this song. I just can't process this girls road runner lyrical flow, which isn't to say that she's untalented because she's an extremely talented rapper to speak at such a rapid pace but I just can't get into it.

New Music: Lil Kim ft. Young Jeezy - Keys To The City

There just something about female rappers that I enjoy more then their male counter parts who tend to aggravate me to no extent so I'm more then happy to see this revival of female rappers and the return of some iconic female rappers like Lil Kim and Missy Elliot.

Anyway Lil' Kim has dropped a very hot track called, "Keys To The City" featuring Young Jeezy and she's thankfully not singing with that awful autotuned voice that she was so keen on using. She's just rapping over a very hard and gritty beat that has a very Southern vibe to it. Anyway check it out below.

The last really hot song I heard from Kimmy Blanco was "P*ssy Purr" (Check it out below), which was released in 2010 if I'm correct.

Music Video: Dawn Richard - Bombs

Tick! Tick! BOOM! The countdown on this time bomb has expired and Dawn has officially exploded onto the solo scene with her hot new video for her first single, "Bombs" off of her upcoming EP, Armor On. Check out the heavily choreographed desert themed video below.

Dave Raps drops a music video for his song, "Campfire Of '68" , which will appear on his upcoming mixtape AKA Dave Ruffin'.

Old But Gold: Gina Thompson ft. Mocha - Why Do Fools Fall In Love

90's babies can all remember Gina Thompson for her hugely popular hit featuring Missy Elliot, called, "The Things You Do" but how many of you have heard her hot song, "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" with former and fellow The Goldmind Inc rapper, Mocha.

The Timberland produced song appeared on the soundtrack for the 1998 movie, "Why Do Fools Fall In Love", which I still have never seen to this day.

My favourite part has to be Mocha's part at the end around the 3:00 minute point!

Thursday, March 22, 2012

Artist Promo: Sha Stimuli - Sallie Mae (Produced by G14 Productions)

Sha Stimuli released a new track from his 12 part mixtape series, #TheRentTapesSeries. Check out his latest single, "Sallie Mae" from the second Ep, The Chills, which is the second EP in the 12 part mixtape series.

Follow Sha on twitter @ShaStimuli and don't forget to pick up a copy of The Chills at or at

Artist Promo: Dave Raps - Trayvon Martin (We Are One)

Dave Raps, pays his respect with Skittles and ice tea for Trayvon Martin, who was murdered by an overzealous man with a gun on his way home from the convenience store. Its a sad story and I'm not going to get into to much detail about the case but if you want more info on this injustice then I suggest watching the news or googling the young man.

Music Video: Rye Rye - Boom Boom

Rye Rye, just released her fun and cute video for her song, "Boom Boom", which shows Rye Rye in a video game world with tons of surreal challenges.

"Boom Boom" will appear on, Rye Rye's debut album, Go! Pop! Bang!, which is scheduled for a May 15th 2012 release.

Music Video: Kerli - Zero Gravity

Estonian Bubblegum Goth, Kerli wows and stuns me as she usually does in another of her breath taking and unique videos.

"Zero Gravity" looks like it should have been part of a Final Fantasy cinematic scene with all its fantastical outfits and magical atmosphere.

Check out one of the most creative videos that I've seen all year below (directed by Canadian director, Alon Isocianu)

Music Video: Katy Perry - Part Of Me

Katy Perry joins the army to escape all the drama with her cheating fiance in her latest video for her hit single, "Part Of Me".

You can tell a women is a natural beauty when she can minimize her make-up and cut off her hair and still have the ability to wow you like Katy did in this video.

P.S. Another example of natural beauty is RiRi in her upcoming movie, Battle Ship.

Artist Promo: De-Lor - Beautiful Life

I received an email about (I love when people submit music for posting) an up and coming feel good kind of R&B singer named, De-Lor.

His debut single, "Beautiful Life" is one of those songs that will pick you up when your down and put a smile on your face. The song is all about appreciating life and you can appreciate the music video, which you can watch below.

Music Video: Madonna - Girl Gone Wild

Madonna releases the second single and video for her hotly anticipated album, MDNA, which is scheduled for a March 26 release.

"Girl Gone Wild", should be retitled to, "Gays Gone Wild" or even "Boys Gone Wild" if one is to base the song title solely on its visuals. To sum up the video quickly its a whole lot of bondage, black and white, and model boys in heels.

Music Video: Sabi - Wild Heart

I voted Sabi's, "Wild Heart" onto my list of best songs of 2011 because I was and still am very fond of that song so I was overjoyed to see some visuals (check the video out below) for her amazing debut single.

Music Video: Kristina Maria ft. Corneille (Laza Morgan for the English version) - Co-Pilot

I was wondering when Lebanese Canadian singer, Kristina Maria's video for her hot track, "Co-Pilot" would debut and apparently it debuted on Febuary 3rd and I didn't even know. If it weren't for a CBC special on her that showed snippets of the video I would have never known a video existed.

I unfortunately can't find a full English version like the version on the radio so you'll all have to make due and watch it anyway. You can listen to the full English audio version below.

Music Video: Glasses Malone ft. T. Lopez - Rare Breed

So I finally get to see who this T. Lopez girl is...

New Music: Timbaland ft. DEV - Break Ya Back

(Pic Source)

I see a new dream team being formed between DEV and Timbaland because this is their third song together that has me bumping my speakers.

"Break Ya Back" will potentially appear on Timbaland's upcoming fourth studio album, Shock Value III, which is scheduled for a June 2012 release.

Music Video: J.Cole ft. Missy Elliot - Nobody's Perfect

Its so nice to see Missy Elliot again!

Music Video: Zolo - Why Don't You Love Me

I got another hot Canadian song called, "Why Don't You Love Me", for your listening pleasure.

I heard this one on the radio and I spent about a month (over exaggeration) trying to figure out who the singer was and then I found out today his name is Zolo.

Anyway check out this promising Toronto based artist YouTube channel for more info HERE

New Music: Dru - She Can Ride

I love this song right here! Canadian R&b sensation, Dru drops a hot track called, "She Can Ride" and I heard it on the radio awhile ago but I couldn't find it anywhere on YouTube to post it but today I finally found the track and I want you all to hear it because its straight FIYAH.

"She Can Ride", appears on his album, On The Brink, which was released on November 29th 2011.

I just realized that I never posted the video for his previous single, "Gettin' It In", which received heavy rotation on the radio.

Friday, March 16, 2012

Music Video: Lil' Mo ft. Tweet - I Love Me

It seems kind of late for a video since, "I Love Me" has been released for quite some time but one cannot complain since neither, Lil' Mo or Tweet has been seen in a very long time.

New Music: Melody Thornton - P.O.Y.B.L Mixtape

Former Pussycat Doll, Melody Thornton delivers her soulful mixtape, P.O.Y.B.L (Piss On Your Black List), which you can stream and download below.

Download,"HIGHLIFEFUCKINRIGHT (HLFR)" from Soundcloud below.

Music Video: Ashanti ft. Busta Rhymes - The woman You Love

Ashanti's comeback video, "The Woman You Love" finally debuted and I'm excited to finally post and watch it. I stopped posting sneak peeks because I just find them pointless now. So yeah check out the first single from her fifth album, Brave Heart below.

New Music: Teyana Taylor Releases, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor Mixtape

I like FREE music and I'm sure you do as well so grab yourself a copy of Teyana Taylor's 15 track mixtape titled, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor.

I haven't heard all the songs yet but I like, "Choosin" and "Gate Keeper" so far, which you can check out below.

Download, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor HERE

Music Video: John Legend ft. Ludacris - Tonight (Best You Ever Had)

John Legends, "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)" just oozes grown & sexy and the video is really classy but still sexual.

The song appears on the soundtrack for upcoming movie, Think Like A Man, which is a Steve Harvey relationship movie.

I dunno I might go out and see it but I refuse to go to the theaters alone and I know all my friends don't want to check it out.

Music Video: Melody Thornton - Lipstick & Guilt

Melody gets gritty and dark in her elegant new video for her soulful and addictive cover track, "Lipstick & Guilt" off of her upcoming mixtape, P.O.Y.B.L. (March 15th)

The only downside to this video is that it was a little to short but beggars cannot be choosers.

Saturday, March 10, 2012

Music Video: The Knux ft. Natalia Kills - 1974

Music Video: Havana Brown ft. Pitbull

New Australian Pop singer (at least to me) named, Havana Brown, hits the dance floor with her catchy Electro-Pop track called, "We Run The Night", which features the ever present, Pitbull.

The RedOne produced track sounds very similar to Jennifer Lopez's very successful, "On The Floor" track that came out last year.

Music Video: Usher - Climax

Usher contemplates his options in his dramatic video, "Climax", which see's Usher go through a plethora of situations all involving a women that he's having an affair with. I could be wrong about the plot but I think that's why this video (and song) are so great. You have to watch the video multiple times to catch everything.

Music News: Happy International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day (You Go Girl!) and every March 8th we recognize and appreciate all the things women must go through. So since I'm a music blog I decided to celebrate this holiday with some music that showcases the awesomeness of Women. Check Out my fave female empowerment songs and videos below.

15. Keri Hilson - Pretty Girl Rock

"Pretty Girl Rock" is all about loving yourself and having confidence in your self image. Check out Keri's album, No Boys Allowed.

14. Lil Kim ft. Angie Martinez, Left Eye, Da brat, and Missy Elliot - Ladies Night

Well the song title says it all!

13. The Pussycat Dolls - I Don't Need A Man

This is one of those independent single ladies anthems that lets you know that you can do whatever you want all on your own.

12. Beyonce - Single Ladies

The Official single ladies anthem!

11. Destiny's Child - Independent Woman

Beyonce is no stranger to female empowerment so expect to see her on the list quite a lot.

10. Alicia Keys - Womans Worth

09. Alicia Keys - Superwoman

08. Jully Black - Running

07. Madonna - Human Nature

So I kind skipped writing a lil' heading for some of the songs because lets face it some of their titles are self explanatory but Madonna's, "Human Nature" isn't as easily explained. I decided to put this song and video on the list because its all about women owning and conquering their sexuality in a society that allows men to be as sexual as they want but not vice versa for women.

06. Madonna - What It Feels Like For A Girl

Madonna lets you know how it feels to be a girl in our modern society.

Bonus: NSFW (Not Safe For Work) anime tour version of "What it Feels Like To Be A Girl". Be warned this video is graphic and disturbing like most Japanese anime and highly disrespectful to women but its the perfect display of how women are represented in our society. This video is just another reason to show why Madonna is a musical genius.

05. Beyonce - Who Run The World (Girls)

If this song isn't girl power then I don't know what is

04. India Arie - Video

Another of those self love feel good tracks that lets you feel pretty in your own skin.

03. Donna Summers - She works Hard For Her Money

02. Areatha Franklin - Respect

This song demands that you respect women! "I am Women hear me roar"

01. Chaka Khan & Whitney Houston - I'm Every Women

You can be anything if you put your mind to it! (R.I.P. Whitney)

Honourable Mention:

Kelis - Caught Out There

Alison Hinds - Roll It

Music News: Still Think Certain Musicians Derserve Your Money?

Are you still sure you want to support certain artist music? Decide after watching this vile video below.

Music News: Waka Flocka Flame Stands Up For Dog Rights

Its nice to see a rapper value something other then materialistic possessions, drugs, or loose women.

P.S. I'm not a huge PETA supporter because they're crazy as hell and they'd sooner kill a baby to rescue an animal but I can understand and relate to some of their values such as their no fur campaign.

Artist Promo: Chaundon ft. Skillz - Hindsight

Check out Chaundon's music video, "Hindsight" off of his mixtape The Jammington, which you can buy off iTunes now. Click HERE for the link to iTunes.

Music Video: DEV ft. Fabolous - Kiss My Lips (Official Remix)

Pucker up and kiss, DEV's swag as she teams up with Fabolous for her video, "Kiss My Lips". The video gets its point across and it does it well enough so I'm gonna give this video 5 Smooches out of 5.

Music Video: Neon Hitch - Love U Betta

Neon Hitch's, "Love U Betta" debuted today and she making a very bold statement for her official video debut.

The visuals are pretty sexual (especially the black paint scenes) and I find it pretty ballsy to release such an erotic video as your official debut. In no way am I bashing her for it but it might gives critics the outlet they need to dismiss her as a serious musician.

However I thought the video was pretty good with its contrasting black and white backgrounds and attire so she'll get nothing but love from me like she usually does.

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

New Music: Melody Thornton - Lipstick & Guilt

We all know that Melody Thornton can "Sang" but sometimes she's to overpowering and it kind of ruins the listening experience but on her remix of Jay-Z & Kanye West's, "No Church in the Wild" she soars effortlessly.

I actually like Melody's, "Lipstick & Guilt", version 10x more then the, Watch The Throne version. Anyway download and check it out below!

According to, Melody will be releasing a mixtape called, "P.O.Y.B.L." on March 15th and lets just say I'm seriously excited to get any FREE material from any former Pussycat Doll or any singer for that matter.

Music Video: Jordyn Taylor - Mine B4 Midnight

New Music: Cassie - HD

A new hot Cassie song has called, "HD" hit the web a few days ago and the very autotuned track is about Cassie seeing all the flaws in her ex now that she has HD vision.

In my opinion Cassie can do no wrong with studio music and I can't actually pick a song of hers that isn't above average and "HD" is definitely no exception.

I'm not sure if this will appear on her long awaited sophomore album that's still untitled so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Music Video: Brandy & Monica - It All belongs To Me

Can I just start off by saying that this video is amazing and that Brandy is definitely one of the most beautiful women in music.

I know when, "It All Belongs To Me" first came out it was kind of boring to me but the very empowering video helped me to warm up to the song more. I never said I hated the song I was just indifferent to it.

Anyway watch R&B Divas, Monica and Brandy pay homage to their idol, Whitney Houston in their, Waiting To Exhale like video, "It All Belongs To Me"

Artist Promo: Dave Raps - Hitchhiker

Check out Dave's new video and track, "Hitchhiker" from his, upcoming mixtape, AKA Dave Ruffin.

In the video Dave picks up a leggy hitchhiker but unbeknownst to him is that she's an armed robber. I won't give away the rest of the video because you should watch it and enjoy it since videos with a great plot and concept are hard to come by these days.

Be warned though if you photo-sensitive you might not want to watch the video because around the end a lot of flashing lights appear and I don't want any one having a seizure or anything.

If you want to download, "Hitchhiker" then click the YouTube video and the read the description for the link and stay tuned for more stuff.

Singer Battle: Alexandra Burke vs. Amanda Ghost vs. Brandy Norwood - Fear Of Flying

I haven't done one of these, "Singer Battles" in quite a long time even though I have tons of material to post.

Anyway I'm going to get right into this battle and introduce you to the contenders who are, British X-Factor singer, Alexandra Burke, British singer, Amanda Ghost, and the lovely Brandy Norwood.

They've all sang a powerful ballad called, "Fear Of Flying", which first came to my attention because it leaked to the web (2009) with Brandy's vocals but I soon discovered that Brandy's version had to siblings from British singers.

I'm not really familiar with Amanda ghost but I'm guessing the song probably ended up with her because I'm pretty sure Brandy never officially released it and I don't think Alexandra Burke did either. Anyway let The battle begin!

Brandy's vocals were impeccable as usual and Alexandra Burke nearly beat her because of the musical arrangement of her version but I'm basing the song off of vocals and I think that Brandy's voice conquered both Amanda Ghost and Alexandra's vocals.

You can sound off below and vote for who you think deserved to win it all.

Music Video: BMoney Grenier ft. J-Diggz - Out Of This World

Music Video: Morgan Page ft. Tegan & Sara - Body Work

Canadian twins, Tegan & Sara team up with American Dj, Morgan Page to create this electronic club masterpiece called, "Body Work". Check out the video below.

Music Video: Cory Lee - Fashion Show

Beautiful Canadian singer and actress, Cory Lee, comes alive and gets her fashion on in her latest video, "Fashion Show".

If I'm correct this is the first single from her forthcoming third album, which is also called Fashion Show (I think).

P.S. Is she still on the Degrassi? I haven't seen any of the new season.

Music Video: My Name Is Kay - Diddy Dum

Trendy and fresh Canadian rapper/singer, My Name Is Kay (I thought her name was just Kay and not My Name Is Kay) has a new video for her drum heavy song, "Diddy Dum".

Its a hot song and I have a feeling that, My Name Is Kay, will be a huge international hit if she keeps up the good work.

Artist Promo: A Quick Look Of What Dave Raps' Has In Store

If you've been waiting to see/hear some new Dave Rap's stuff then the wait is over because on March 5th, Dave will be releasing a teaser for his, Dave Ruffin mixtape, which is scheduled for a mid March release.

You can check out these video stills of an upcoming video for one of the tracks from his upcoming mixtape.

Stay Tuned for more stuff!!!
